Picture this on April 14

a little PR!

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/STEPHEN B. THORNTON --1-26-12-- Jasmine Jobe put finishing touches on a "yarn bomb" she and other Central Arkansas Library System employees installed on railings outside the Cox buidling at the library's main branch in downtown Little Rock Thursday afternoon. The Arkansas Literary Festival announced Thursday the lineup of authors and special events surrounding the festival which runs April 12-15th. One of the presenters at the festival will discuss her book on craft activism and join in a yarn bomb.

We made the paper this morning (January 27, 2012). I think our photographer friend "got it." Great job everyone!

April 14, 2012 will be a big day. Start making and saving 5" knit or crochet squares, flowers, and pompoms!

Before and after

We met for lunch on a rainy day at Bookends Cafe on the Main Library Campus. We needed to work fast to prepare our surprise before the Arkansas Literary Festival author announcement at 2:00.

Everything was very gray.

We were prepared....

..with zip ties.

Yarn ends in the breeze.
Finishing touches.

A photographer from the newspaper found us on his way out of the building. He had many questions about Craft Activism, Lit Fest author Gale Zucker, and yarn bombing. We did our best to explain.

Our first yarn bomb was a success, despite (?) having our cover blown. On to planning the big one on April 14, 2012!
